With the new Silikal RU 325 Pigmented resin, the Mainhausen-based reactive resin specialist Silikal now offers an ETA-certified high-performance waterproofing product.
"We are delighted with the success of our development work and that we have passed the test in accordance with EAD 030350-00-0402, Part 1: General Provisions Guideline for the European Technical Approval for Liquid Applied Roof Waterproofing," says Tim Neu, Application Engineer at Silikal, "our new RU 325 Pigmented waterproofing resin has achieved the highest category in all test criteria. This means we can offer our customers and users not only a durable, but also a proven, high-quality and reliable waterproofing product."
The new high-performance waterproofing Silikal RU 325 Pigmented will be presented to the professional public for the first time in spring: Silikal will be presenting the new product at the "Dach + Holz International" trade fair. The trade fair will take place from 5 to 8 March 2024 in Stuttgart and is regarded as the industry's top meeting place for all topics relating to the building envelope. The Silikal stand is located in Hall 8, Stand 105.
With successful product testing in accordance with EAD and European Technical Approval (ETA), the Mainhausen-based company Silikal has launched a waterproofing product on the market that fulfils high requirements: The Silikal RU 325 Pigmented resin is particularly suitable for roofs on public buildings, industrial plants and halls, whose building owners and users can prove compliance with the current state of the art with this certification. An important criterion of the EAD test is the service life, which for Silikal RU 325 Pigmented was certified with the highest value, namely W3, i.e. for a service life of at least 25 years. Also decisive for roofs in use worldwide: testing the quality at fluctuating surface temperatures. Here, the new resin has achieved a range of - 30 °C to + 90 °C.
Like all methyl methacrylate (MMA) waterproofing resins from Silikal, this MMA product also offers many advantages. It is installed over the entire surface and without joints. As usual with Silikal products, application is practical and uncomplicated: The ready-to-use pre-filled Silikal RU 325 Pigmented, in combination with Silikal TEX fleece, is applied to the primer. The RU 325 Pigmented waterproofing resin cures within one hour, even at low temperatures. Silikal RU 325 Pigmented is pre-pigmented and is now available in the most common RAL colours (special colours are available from Silikal on request).
