VAEPLAN solar roofing membranes
VAEPLAN solar roofing membranes were specially developed for use under PV systems and offer increased fire protection, thereby ensuring safety in the event of a fire.
We conducted a fire test on our premises. In this test, we simulated an existing flat roof with old plastic waterproofing and EPS insulation. We regenerated the old plastic waterproofing membrane with VAEPLAN RSB-FR solar roof membrane and then exposed it to a gas burner from above for a full 3 minutes. The left image shows the surface of our RSB-FR after 3 minutes of exposure to flame, and the right image shows the underside of the old waterproofing membrane, which shows no damage whatsoever after 3 minutes of full exposure to flame. The EPS also shows no damage whatsoever; only the heat from above has caused the EPS to deform slightly. Of course, we also have an official fire certificate from a recognized and approved testing laboratory. Our regeneration layers can be applied to all existing waterproofing membranes.
