The foundation for economical photovoltaic systems - trapezoidal profiles for PV systems

Solar energy is the undeniable driving force behind the energy transition and the future energy supply. The continuing importance of solar technology is inescapable. Our trapezoidal profiles lay the foundation for economical photovoltaic systems that shape the future.

According to DIN EN 1090-4, trapezoidal steel profiles used as roof cladding for the construction of solar energy systems are load-bearing profiled sheets. For such supporting shells, a minimum nominal sheet thickness of tN ≥ 0.75 mm applies.

Dirt can accumulate under solar thermal systems, e.g. from tree leaves. Due to this corrosive atmosphere, a thickness of the organic coating of at least 45 µm is required. We recommend PURLAK® (50 µm) and Aluzinc AZ 185, which offer increased corrosion protection. For this reason, products in these versions are preferably suitable for heavy corrosion loads under solar installations.

Galvanised screws may only be used where moistening of the fastening element is not to be expected; accordingly, only stainless steel screws are permitted for outdoor use.
