Tested REI60 timber-frame construction without fire-resistant covering

SWISS KRONO has worked with the German Association for Prefabricated Timber Construction (DHV), the Liability Insurance Association of German Industry (HDI), Bauer and Rockwool to successfully conduct fire tests of REI30 and REI60.

SWISS KRONO has worked with the German Association for Prefabricated Timber Construction (DHV), the Liability Insurance Association of German Industry (HDI), Bauer and Rockwool to successfully conduct fire tests of REI30 and REI60 in buildings between seven and 13 metres tall with units up to 400 sqm in size (corresponding to German building class 4). One of the tested walls was a thermally insulating loadbearing interior wall built with 25-mm-thick SWISS KRONO OSB/3 EN300 or alternatively 22-mm-thick SWISS KRONO OSB/3 stop fire EN300 (flame-retardant) and 140 mm of Termarock 3 rock wool.
