SKB guardrails with expansion joint
A special feature of SKB guardrails is the expansion joint. Thanks to elongated holes in the handrail, knee rail and toe board, length compensation is possible. The expansion joint serves to compensate for the effects of heat and cold on the material, which means that the guardrail does not warp (lengthen or shorten) due to material movement. It therefore remains in position and prevents possible damage to the roof cladding caused by movement of the guardrail.
Safety concept with many advantages
SKB guardrails are the ideal solution in many respects. They are part of collective protection and protect people regardless of their equipment or behavior on the roof by preventing them from approaching falling edges. SKB guardrails are suitable for roof pitches from 0° to 30° and can be adjusted in height by at least 10 cm. They are also ideal for low fall heights. SKB guardrail systems have been developed and tested in accordance with the specifications of EN 13374 and EN ISO 14122-3. Sicherheitskonzepte Breuer offers guardrail system variants for flat roofs in accordance with EN 13374 protection class A or B and in accordance with EN ISO 14122-3 as fixed access to machinery. The specially developed SKB guardrail bases are available for various substructures, for example for load-bearing with plastic or concrete weights, for attachment to the parapet or for bolting to metal roofs.
