Sun-reflective KÖSTER TPO roofing membranes – defying climate change

Global warming can hardly be stopped; summers are becoming increasingly hotter in Central and Southern Europe, which also means increased stress on buildings. But this can be remedied with the highly reflective KÖSTER TPO White roofing membranes.

Global warming can hardly be stopped, summers are getting hotter and hotter in central and Southern Europe, which also means increased stress for buildings. However, this can be remedied with KÖSTER TPO White highly reflective roofing membranes. They reduce the heating of the building and lower the interior temperature, which has a positive effect on energy consumption, as electricity for air conditioning can be saved.

Environmentally friendly and recyclable

KÖSTER TPO White is a white plastic roofing and waterproofing membrane made of flexible polyolefins (FPO / TPO) based on PE with a central glass fleece insert that can be welded with hot air. KÖSTER TPO/FPO roofing and waterproofing membranes in white are used for waterproofing roofs exposed to the elements. They are free from volatile plasticizers, can be recycled and are generally gentle on the building.

Cooling effect thanks to high sunlight reflection

KÖSTER TPO white is characterized by a high SRI value (106). The SRI value (Solar Reflectance Index) is the relative temperature of a surface in relation to a standard white surface (SRI = 100) and a standard black surface (SRI = 0) under standard conditions. In addition, the yield of solar systems can be increased when used simultaneously.

Due to international requirements and trends, KÖSTER BAUCHEMIE AG will increasingly switch to white roofing membranes.
