Product-Highlight DACH+HOLZ 2024

Secure ventilation system for new construction and renovation.

For 25 years, the ventilation pipe SIGNUM has been ensuring a good indoor climate in new construction and renovation projects. At the Dach+Holz 2024 trade fair, Creaton GmbH presents the ventilation concept with a redesigned ventilation pipe, optimized under-roof adapter, and a new flexible hose.

Rising demands for building insulation require functional residential ventilation concepts. In both new and existing buildings, it must be ensured that air and moisture, for example from sanitary facilities or kitchens, can escape. A prerequisite for this is correctly installed roof penetrations.

No condensation formation

Conventional plastic or metal pipes on a ventilation duct tend to form condensation at higher temperature differences on the inside and outside of the pipe. This can lead to damage to the roof substructure. The SIGNUM ventilation pipes from CREATON, on the other hand, have a ceramic nozzle on the underside. Since ceramics, like hardly any other building material, can absorb and release moisture, condensation formation in the area of the connection to the under-roof is prevented.

To ensure no difference is visible on the roof, the cap shapes of the SIGNUM DN 110 and DN 125 are identical regardless of the diameter. Both models have the well-known screw-off and pointed cap in ceramic. If necessary, the ceramic tip can be replaced with a plastic cap, which is available in four basic colors (red, brown, gray, and black).

Under-roof adapter as a flexible connection

Another weak point of standard roof penetrations are the connections from the under-roof to the ventilation duct. These are often glued, which makes dismantling or uncovering the ventilation pipe more difficult and requires intervention in the roof structure. Creaton offers a suitable under-roof adapter to connect the under-roof level to the ventilation duct. Due to its funnel shape, any penetrating condensation is safely directed into the downpipe, and condensation damage to the roof penetrations in the insulation area is excluded. Thanks to the plug-in system, there is still the possibility to quickly and easily dismantle or uncover the SIGNUM ventilation pipe later on. Since the ventilation duct and roof covering are not firmly connected by the under-roof adapter, roofing professionals gain additional flexibility during installation.

Universal flexible hose

If the processed flexible hose does not meet the high requirements of ventilation systems, this can lead to problems during installation. For example, leaks can form due to bends, or UV radiation can attack and damage the material.

The CREATON flexible hose is suitable for most applications in new construction or renovation – and can be universally connected to 100mm or 125mm pipes in the clay and concrete range. Thanks to its reductions to 100, 90, and 70 mm, it can also be optimally connected to smaller ventilation ducts. The flexible hose is UV-resistant, comes with a 10-year warranty, and is made from a single piece.
