Hurricane-force winds, hailstorms, heavy rain and snowstorms: extreme weather events have been on the increase for several years, mainly affecting roofs and the skylights integrated into them. We have developed a new rooflight with a unique wave shape for greater safety in such extreme weather conditions and greater stability under heavy loads. Thanks to the wave shape of the dome shell, our new LAMILUX Rooflight F100 W ensures better load transfer and greater rigidity without using more material. The clever geometry of our LAMILUX Rooflight F100 W is unique on the market and sets new standards for industrial flat roofs.
More stability under heavy loads
Thanks to the wave-like structure of the Rooflight F100 W, the glazing absorbs loads better and distributes them evenly. This leads to better load transfer and greater rigidity. As a result, our new Rooflight remains watertight at higher wind speeds and can withstand more wind and snow. Not only that: depending on the size and skylight dome variant, the load-bearing capacity for snow is also increased up to fourfold compared to skylight domes previously available on the market. Additional stability benefits: Our Rooflight F100 W has been tested for resistance to heavy rainfall of 8 litres per square metre per minute and simultaneous gales of up to 115 km/h and the highest hail resistance class HW5. This means that the wave-shaped skylight dome can even withstand 50 mm hailstones hitting the skylight dome from the sky at a final speed of 111 km/h.

It is precisely because weather extremes occur irregularly and suddenly that it is particularly important to protect roofs from the dangers of environmental influences. As a manufacturer of daylight systems, we see it as our duty to adapt our skylights to the constantly changing influences in order to preventively protect buildings from extreme weather events. It was therefore our aim to further optimise the functionality and stability of our well-known classic skylight. The result is the LAMILUX Rooflight F100 W - with an innovative wave shape.
More convenience during installation
In addition to its technical advantages, our new product is characterised by even easier installation on the roof. Building on the tradition of our other LAMILUX skylights, the new Rooflight F100 W is also delivered to the construction site completely pre-assembled. This means that nothing stands in the way of uncomplicated installation for fabricators.
