Innovative handling of solid wood

Storing of solid construction wood and glulam poles in cantilever racks is not always the best solution. This very often results in unnecessary damage when removing the packages, and manually lifting the heavy bars is anything but ideal for employees and material.

All these tasks are now taken over by the fully automatic SWS solid wood storage system.

The SWS solid wood storage system combines our many years of experience in the field of panel handling with innovation in design and software. Our beam is specially designed for handling solid wood poles.

Poles up to 16 m in length are stored in stanchion compartments and can then be fed to cross-cut saws or joinery systems. There is also the option of simple order picking of customer packages or complex package formation after beam processing.

The SWS solid wood storage system can be implemented as a floor storage system or as a two-story version. The standard solution is a warehouse on one level. Depending on the required performance of the system, one or two manipulators can be used.
