Our story began with the development of temporary side protection in accordance with DIN 13374 by master roofer Rudi Hachenberg and the founding of the company Hakos GmbH. As owner of a roofing company specializing in the construction and renovation of flat roofs and industrial façade cladding, Rudi Hachenberg spent years looking after the safety of his employees and searching for new and practicable safety solutions. In doing so, he considered both safety and the economic perspective of the contractor.
The result is the Hakos roof edge protection, a (partially) temporary side protection system for roofs with a pitch of up to 30°. An innovative, practical and resource-saving product that significantly increases safety during roof work.
As the market develops, we are also evolving and are able to serve the permanent roof railing sector since mid-2023, where we can assist our customers with load-bearing railings from various manufacturers.
A "Hakos version" of a permanent railing, for attachment to the outer edge of the roof without obstructing the roof surface, has been manufactured and will be installed on the first project in early 2024.
Another area is the installation and maintenance of anchor points by trained and certified personnel. We always endeavor to provide our customers with advice and support, even for challenging construction projects. True to the motto: Safety first - why settle for less!
