Recyclable and low maintenance
MOTIO is also distinguished by its cradle-to-cradle silver certification, indicating that the clay facade is recyclable and can be fully reintegrated into the production process at the end of its lifecycle. Another advantage of the facade made of high-quality clay tiles is the effective heat protection in summer, as well as the durable, easy-to-maintain, and low-maintenance protection of the building structure. Thus, MOTIO not only enhances an architecturally appealing structure with its range of colors but also contributes to a pleasant indoor climate and avoids high long-term maintenance costs.
Easy Installation
Creaton MOTIO clay tiles in the size of 200 x 400 are available as an L-profile at all building material retailers. They can be used on buildings up to a height of 20 meters. The installation distance can be varied from 130 to 150 mm, corresponding to an average requirement of 18 pieces of MOTIO per square meter. The MOTIO clay tiles are attached using the appropriate screws on wood and/or metal substructures: At least two stainless steel screws (4.5 x 50 mm) per MOTIO tile, including EPDM seal, ensure a secure hold, even for cut pieces. To achieve optimal results, it is recommended to cut the facade tiles with a wet cutter with a diamond blade. The ceramic facade elements are pre-drilled. If additional holes are needed, a stone drill or diamond drill should be used.
