b/s/t Energy Supply Duct- and Cable Duct

With the b/s/t Energy Supply Duct- and Cable Duct, e.g. for photovoltaic systems, can be fed through the roof package much more easily, minimizing the risk of cable breaks.

b/s/t Energy Supply Duct for the flat roof

On flat roofs, there is a wide variety of requirements for routing cables through the roof. In addition to antenna cables, usually coaxial cables that allow a very small bending radius, there are also connection cables for air conditioning systems, photovoltaics, solar thermal energy or communications technology on flat roofs. These can also have several cores, which can significantly increase the bending radius of the cable. In order to meet this requirement, the b/s/t Energy Supply Duct, realized by four 45° bends, have larger diameters. This makes it much easier to guide the cables through the roof bushing, minimizing the risk of cable breakage. For optimum alignment, the bends can be rotated through 360° for both the cable and energy feed-throughs.

Flexibility with the right roof connection

The b/s/t Energy Supply Duct is available in sizes DN 100, DN 125 and DN 150 and, like the b/s/t Cable Duct, is available in PVC, PE, PP and aluminum (ALIT series). This means that both products can be offered as a material-identical solution to PVC, FPO, EPDM or bitumen roofing membranes. For flat roofs with membrane waterproofing, the b/s/t Cable Duct can be ordered as a plastic product with a factory-welded roof membrane connection sleeve. The advantage of the plastic version made of PE or PP is the homogeneous welding of the product. Alternatively, the ALIT variant with clamped roofing membrane connection can also be selected if the roofing membrane is not made of PVC, PE or PP. For flat roofs with bitumen roofing membranes, a b/s/t ALIT Cable Duct or Energy Supply Duct is available that already has an SBS bitumen welding membrane connected as an intermediate layer for installation at the factory.

All b/s/t plastic components and sub-products are made of particularly ageing and UV-resistant plastic compounds (PVC, PP, PE). These materials are specially designed for outdoor use in the Central European climate. The formulation, pigmentation and chemical structure of the base material, as well as special stabilizers, ensure very high UV protection, excellent ageing resistance, high dimensional stability and impact strength - even at low temperatures - and chemical resistance.

The connection of the b/s/t Cable Duct and b/s/t Energy Supply Duct is identical for all sizes. In the case of a solution for the warm roof, direct connection to a HT pipe is possible. For the connection to the vapor barrier, b/s/t offers you the solution of a b/s/t Deck Element or b/s/t Deck Drain. The pipe length to the top can be selected so that the distance from the water-bearing level to the lower edge of the feed-through openings is at least 15 cm in accordance with the standard (DIN 1986-100:2016-12).

Supplement for the b/s/t Energy Supply- and Cable Duct

The manufacturer offers a termination solution so that the b/s/t Cable Duct and b/s/t Energy Supply Duct are not exposed. A circular PE plastic foam is already included with every end pipe bend at the factory. This can also be used to seal off the openings during the construction phase. Depending on requirements, the foam can be individually cut to fit the cables using a simple carpet knife. A prefabricated cut makes it easier to cut out. An installation aid explaining how to handle the installation situation can be found in every termination foam. Like the b/s/t Cable Duct and b/s/t Energy Supply Duct, the foam is also suitable for long-term use on the roof.
